Senator Phillips, Chair, moved and asked unanimous consent for the adoption of the Rules Senate Committee Substitute offered on page 3228. Senator Donley objected. Senator Donley moved and asked unanimous consent to abstain from voting because of a conflict of interest. Objections were heard and Senator Donley was required to vote. The question being, "Shall the Rules Senate Committee Substitute be adopted?" The roll was taken with the following result: HB 362 Second Reading Adopt Rules Senate Committee Substitute? YEAS: 13 NAYS: 6 EXCUSED: 1 ABSENT: 0 Yeas: Austerman, Cowdery, Davis, Ellis, Elton, Hoffman, Kelly, Olson, Stevens, Taylor, Therriault, Torgerson, Wilken Nays: Donley, Green, Halford, Leman, Phillips, Ward Excused: Lincoln 2002-05-08 Senate Journal Page 3236 and so, SENATE CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 362(RLS) was adopted and read the second time. Senator Leman moved and asked unanimous consent that the bill be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading and placed on final passage. Without objection, it was so ordered. SENATE CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 362(RLS) was read the third time. Senator Taylor moved and asked unanimous consent to abstain from voting because of a conflict of interest. Objections were heard and Senator Taylor was required to vote. The question being: "Shall SENATE CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 362(RLS) "An Act extending the termination date of the Board of Governors of the Alaska Bar Association" pass the Senate?" Senator Ward gave notice of reconsideration.
